One such recipe that shows this is German potato salad. German food tends to have a lot of acidity and fat to it. When I went to Germany when I was in high school, I was introduced to a lot of German foods like schnitzel and Spaetzle and sauerbraten. My maiden name is Kettler, which is very German, so I thought I would start there. My ethnic makeup is a melting pot of European countries, but for this blog post I’m going to look into my German heritage. I love the rich history in food like that and I want to start doing a lot more cultural cooking. Like when I went to New Orleans and I took a class at the New Orleans school of cooking, I love the fact that they only teach how to make red beans and rice on Mondays because traditionally that was wash day and on wash day you wanted to have something cooking all day long so that once you were done doing your laundry you had your red beans and rice ready to go for dinner. You'll want to stir the pot once in a while to check how the cabbage is cooking and adjust the liquid levels as needed.American cooking leaves a lot to be desired.Ī lot of the things that we make are lessened versions of other cultures’ cuisines that we have dumbed down and taken all of the rich history out of. Cook for 40 minutes or until very tender. Reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a lid. Scrape up the browned bits from the bottom of the pan with the back of your spoon.Īdd the chicken stock and bay leaf and bring it to a gentle bubble. Stir it once in a while to combine it with all the yummy bacon drippings.Īdd the apple cider vinegar, mustard, sugar, and caraway seeds to the pot and stir to combine. In a large pot, add the chopped bacon and cook until the fat is rendered in the pan and the bacon is browned and crispy.Īdd the chopped onion to the pan and cook until softened.Īdd the shredded purple cabbage to the pan and cook until it has wilted down by half. Then, thinly slice the wedges into strips like this: How to Cook the Red Cabbage I actually shared a closer look at how to shred cabbage in my fried cabbage post here.īasically, you cut the cabbage in half, remove the core with a v-shaped cut and then slice the half into wedges. If you've never shredded a fresh head of cabbage before, it is really quite easy with a large chef's knife. I was pleased to discover just how easy the recipe is and it is sure to appear on our menu again, especially during the holiday season with the bright and festive color it adds to the table. As a grown up, I now fully appreciate how delicious this tangy German side dish is when served with a rich and savory main like sauerbraten or pork schnitzel with a side of homemade spaetzle.įor a recent Oktoberfest dinner, I made traditional German sauerbraten and this delicious German red cabbage for my family to try. Growing up in a strong German community, I frequently spotted German red cabbage served as a side dish at many traditional dinners.Īs a kid, you couldn't pay me to try it. A tangy vinegar sauce with a touch of mustard and caraway seeds make this a wonderful side to serve with rich main dishes. German red cabbage is a savory side dish that pairs well with German sauerbraten and other beef or pork recipes. Circle 1 is functional enough but it's hard to deny the usefulness of Surespell (Circle 2) and Quick Cast (Circle 3). The base class, Wizard starts and ends fairly simply compared to the other classes it can pick up. This overview guide will be focusing on the Wizard's classes in a way that hopefully is easy to understand for inexperienced players overwhelmed by the game's class system without much of an idea of what to do with their characters.Įach class here is given an overview paragraph denoting what it specializes in as well as a brief look at their skills for you to think over and compare. It is impressive how well the app replicates some aspects of pastel drawing, including soft pastels, oil pastels, pastel pencils, and realistic colour blending using your finger on the screen just like you would on paper. No digital application and tablet screen will give you the real feel of working with pastels and charcoal, but drawing apps for iPad are not looking to replace feel – they are designed to mimic the effect, and that is what iPastels does so well. Download iPastels for free (in-app purchases).IPastels lets you create some realistic pastel artwork (Image credit: iPastels) But this is an excellent app for those wanting to get a realistic painting experience. Our tester was disappointed that the paint simulation is better in Rebelle 5, and he also felt that the UI wasn't for everyone. In our Artrage Vitae review we loved the easy to navigate UI that hides many of the deeper functions behind easy sliders and selections, the unique layout ensures the screen is never cluttered and the canvas remains visible. There's a variety of canvas presets and paper options, plus a wide array of brushes, pencils, crayons, rollers, and pastels. You can load your brush with paint and spread it about with joy, you can mix colours on the canvas and overall ArtRage Vitae does a great job of simulating lifelike paints.Ī variety of canvas styles add texture beneath your paintings, with options to adjust paper settings and customise brushes easily using a set of sliders. You can export to a range of formats, including JPG, PNG, PDF and SVG, and there are over 100 brushes available, in styles including paints, pencils, inks, pastels and gouaches. In short, this is one of the few drawing apps for iPad that's squarely targeted at the professional market. We also loved the UI – find out more in our Affinity Designer for iPad review.Īffinity Designer supports both CMYK and RGB, and has a full Pantone library in the colour swatch panel, meaning it's ideal for creating both digital and printed art. Our testing appreciated the fact it can support huge multi-artboard canvases with as many layers as you could possibly want, and you can zoom to over one million per cent. Unfortunately, the app is only available on a subscription model and it's not compatible below iOS 14. We've found that when you combine the Illustrator app with the new iPad Pro (M1, 2021) and the Apple Pencil 2, then you get a sleek, controlled and enhanced digital art experience (make sure you check out the iPad Pro deals and the Apple Pencil deals if you haven't got the devices already). And if you're still not convinced, then why not read more about it over on our Illustrator for iPad review? The app takes the best features from the desktop app and pops it into this handy portable version of the app. While the app is free, it does require some in-app purchases, but with features like radial, grid and mirror repeat, its worth the money. Just like Procreate, Adobe Illustrator is incredibly popular in the digital art community. Freddy could also become a villain once more although Afton doesn't succeed in fully controlling him if the True Ending is attained, he does try, so it's possible that there's some portion of Glitchtrap hiding within him, just waiting for its chance to take him over.Placeholder names for various unused Collectibles under an "Ultra Rare" setting. Her working to bring Afton back to life could be a great plot for the next game if she does indeed take over his legacy. Even without Burntrap, her mind is presumably still being controlled by Glitchtrap, so she could take up the mantle of FNAF's twisted villain. Vanny is mysteriously absent from the True Ending, which is very telling. The strongest may even be right under fans' noses. If the series does get a new antagonist, then there are some possibilities. Related: How Tall Is Sundrop In FNAF: Security Breach It's been using Afton for eight straight games so far, so a change of pace could make the next game even better and more terrifying than ever. FNAF: Security Breach's DLC may possibly answer this question before the next game, since their contents are still unknown. A new antagonist, one perhaps even more sick and twisted than Springtrap could ever hope to be, may even do the series some good. His actions have left a permanent imprint on the games and the Freddy Fazbear's franchise, so there's still plenty of horror that could go on in his absence. After all, it pulls Burntrap up into the ceiling, towards the Pizzaplex, instead of downwards towards the flaming pizzeria underneath it.Įven if William Afton did meet his final end in the True Ending of FNAF: Security Breach, the FNAF series can still go on without him. The Blob may have even been attempting to save Afton instead of trapping him. The Glitchtrap virus still exists in the majority of the Glamrock animatronics, and it's possible that he made copies of it in anticipation of just this occasion. Unlocking every FNAF: Security Breach ending does little to explain what happens to him in the end, since he only shows up in the True Ending. Even if his body is destroyed, however, that doesn't mean that he's gone for good. He escaped two separate prior fires, so it stands to reason that he could do it a third time. During Security Breach's True Ending, he is trapped in the blazing original pizzeria by The Blob, presumably to burn once again.Īlthough Burntrap is presumed to burn up, his fate remains uncertain. A serial killer whose actions kick off the events of just about every game, he's easily the most influential character in the series, even more so than the mascot, Freddy Fazbear. His latest iteration is Burntrap, the scorched remains of Scraptrap and/or Springtrap after the fire following the events of Pizzeria Simulator. He's not seen in person until FNAF 3, and he takes on a few different forms over the course of the following games. William Afton is the main antagonist of the FNAF series. All of FNAF: Security Breach's endings might even hold some clues to what fans can expect from the next game. It's also possible for the series to go backward and show players what happened prior to the Mega Pizzaplex and William Afton's apparent demise. If he truly is dead and gone, then there are other possibilities for antagonists in the next game, if indeed it even needs one. William Afton appeared to meet his end during Security Breach's True Ending, but FNAF has proven time and again that everything isn't always as it seems when it comes to Freddy Fazbear. Related: FNAF: Security Breach's Locked Doors Hint At DLC All of them vary in how satisfying they are, and the one where Gregory ends up sleeping in a cardboard box isn't the best out of all of them, but the True Ending is the one that reveals the most of the game's secrets. Unlocking every one of FNAF: Security Breach's endings takes some doing, but each of them shows players a different take on Gregory's (and maybe Freddy or Vanessa's) escape from the Mega Pizzaplex. There's only one that can be called the "True Ending" however, in that it's what's considered canon for the series. There are six endings in total for FNAF: Security Breach, each one wrapping up the events of the game in one way or another. that contains any computer viruses, worms or other potentially damaging computer programs or files.that includes any information that references other websites, physical addresses, email addresses, contact information or phone numbers.for which you were compensated or granted any consideration by any third party.that is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, libelous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any person or entity.that violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising).that infringes any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights of publicity or privacy.that is known by you to be false, inaccurate or misleading. You further agree and warrant that you shall not submit any content: use of the content you supply does not violate these Terms of Use and will not cause injury to any person or entity.all "moral rights" that you may have in such content have been voluntarily waived by you.you are the sole author and owner of the intellectual property rights thereto. It can take up to a year for a scar to fully heal and reveal its final result. A few days later, the tissue starts to contract and make a scar.
